I may not have measured exactly right before, but I know that my circumference was definitely about 6.5". But after losing weight (about 45 pounds so far), at some point my wrists have apparently shrunken some. But always being considered overweight in my gym class tests from all their measurements really helped mess me up psychologically for sure, lol.Įdit 5/17: Just wanted to edit this post in case anyone comes across it later with similar questions. I ultimately will just keep trying to lose until I get to a place that I like for myself that's still within a healthy range. I was just curious if others have chosen their goal weight based on anything like this. But I do still think I had a decent excess of weight on me (having a round face doesn't help). Granted, looking back at pictures then, I don't look as bad as I thought I did at the time. But I used to weigh around that when I was younger, around 155 at most I think. Then I read that the ideal weight from this one formula (100 lbs for the first 5' plus 5 lbs per inch above that plus 10% for large frame) would be around 149 pounds for me. Mine was around 6.75" or at least definitely above 6.5" since it was hard to do exact measurements. Today I just saw something about measuring your wrist to find what your frame is, and above 6.5" is considered large frame. But that surprised me because I have very broad shoulders, wide rib cage, wide hands and feet, etc. In the past, I've tried measuring my elbow (not super precisely) to see the width and got medium frame. I'm female and 5' 7" and have seen that 118-160 pounds can be considered healthy based on BMI (though I'm cautious of BMI as well).īut I've also been uncertain what my frame size is.
